Our story

Bringing local craft to an online storefront

Medigar began with a simple goal: make the work of Mexican artisans easier to find and easier to understand. We bring together handmade pieces from independent workshops in one shop, so each object can be seen alongside the person who made it.

We keep the focus on handmade trade and on the makers' own voices. Every product page shares the details that matter, from materials to making, so you can choose with context rather than guesswork.

Ceramics

Clay shaped by hand

Working from a family workshop, this potter throws and fires each vessel by hand, using local clays and glazes mixed from regional minerals. Forms are kept simple so the material's grain and colour stay in view.

Textiles

Woven on a traditional loom

This weaver works at a foot loom at home, setting up each warp by hand and choosing natural dyes for the weft. Patterns follow the techniques passed down in the family, adjusted slowly from one piece to the next.

Woodwork

Carved from local timber

This woodworker shapes utensils and small objects from regional hardwoods, finishing each surface by hand. The studio practice is slow and deliberate, letting the natural figure of each piece guide its final form.
